Paige McClanahan is an award-winning journalist who has reported from more than a dozen countries, including Sierra Leone, Liberia, Afghanistan, and Uganda, for publications like The Guardian, the BBC, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, where she is a regular contributor.
Her reporting has covered multilateral trade negotiations, humanitarian crises, economic development, and, most recently, the tourism industry, which is the subject of the book that she’s writing for Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
Paige is also the producer and host of a travel podcast with listeners in 110+ countries on six continents. Paige’s journalism has earned awards from The Guardian, The Society of American Travel Writers, and the North American Travel Journalists Association. An American citizen, she has lived in five countries since she left the United States in 2008. She now resides in France.
