The 7th edition of A World For Travel takes place across two of Paris’s most historically significant institutions : Salon Colbert and the Hôtel de l’Industrie.

These iconic locations were chosen to reflect the forum’s ambition and the weight of the conversations it hosts.

SECURITY ACCESS DETAILS FOR DAY 2

🔐 Important — Salon Colbert Security Procedures ⚠ Mandatory
Due to the high-level institutional setting, security procedures at the Salon Colbert cannot be bypassed or expedited. Please read carefully and plan to arrive well in advance.

Mandatory pre-registration & identity verification. All participants must upload a valid passport or national ID during registration. This will be transmitted to the Colbert's security office prior to the event.

  • ID presented on-site must match registration details exactly

    Mandatory security screening on entry. All participants must pass through security screening — no exceptions.

    No large luggage or oversized bags permitted. Do not bring suitcases or large backpacks to the venue.

    Arrive significantly in advance. Security queues can be substantial. Late arrivals will not be expedited.

    Access denied for incomplete accreditation. Ensure all registration steps are completed well before the event.

    Badge collection & arrival instructions will be communicated to all registered participants prior to the event.

    Getting to Paris

    Paris is well connected by air and rail, with straightforward public transport links into the city centre.

    Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

    Between 45–60 minutes from central Paris by taxi, depending on traffic.

    RER B connects the airport directly with central Paris.

    Paris Orly Airport (ORY)

    Approximately 30–45 minutes from central Paris by taxi, depending on traffic.

    Metro Line 14 connects Orly directly with central Paris.

    BY TRAIN

    Gare du Nord

    Eurostar and international connections.

    Direct access to central Paris by Metro and RER.

    Gare de Lyon

    TGV connections from France, Switzerland, Italy and other European destinations.

    Metro Lines 1 and 14 and RER A & D.

    03 · GETTING AROUND PARIS

    Moving between AWFT venues

    Paris has an extensive public transport network, making it easy to travel between the four AWFT venues.

    The easiest option for most journeys within Paris. All four venues are accessible by public transport.

    By Bike

    Paris has an extensive network of cycle paths and numerous self-service bicycle stations through Vélib’ Métropole. Bikes can be rented via the Vélib’ app or directly at a station: a convenient and lower-impact way to move around the city.

    Taxi

    Official taxis are widely available throughout Paris and at airports and major railway stations. Allow additional travel time during peak hours.

    Public Transport

    Metro, RER and bus services operate throughout the city. We recommend allowing sufficient travel time, particularly on the morning of Day 1 due to security procedures at the French National Assembly.
