Alibaba Group, Regional Director EMEA, Fliggy (Alibaba Group Travel platform)
Ada XU joined Alibaba Group in 2016, she was leading Tmall Business Development for France, responsible for helping French brands enter the Chinese market and build their business by connecting them to the more than 650 million annual active consumers on Alibaba’s platforms. In 2019 she was appointed to develop Fliggy, the travel platform of Alibaba Group, for EMEA region.
Ada, based in Paris, is now responsible for the strategic development of Fliggy in EMEA, Fliggy is a 360° travel platform (Hotel, Plane, Holiday, Tickets, Shopping, Visa, Communication…) with 372 million users. Her mission is to create new tours, hotel partnerships, highlight new destinations and innovative services for Fliggy customers in China. During the pandemic, as the borders are closed, she is leading to develop the oversea Chinese market in Europe; and she was also the initiator of the “Fliggy Virtual Tourism Series” with livestreaming partnered with worldwide famous POI’s and museums such Louvre Museum, Versailles Palace, British Museum, Natural History Museum, Colosseum, Prado, Galeria Borghese, Casa Batllo,…
Prior to joining Alibaba, Ada was leading her own company, she created her company at the meantime as her master degrees. She was helping French companies to work and invest in China. She was also the owner a market place specialized in cashmere products in France. Ada has a master’s degree in International Business and entrepreneurship. She lived in China, Mauritius island, Madagascar and France. She speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, French, English and Spanish.
